LAS VEGAS – Aesha Goins, founder of Black Joy Consulting and Cannabis Equity and Inclusion Community (CEIC), a Nevada nonprofit, was named a finalist in the Rising Star category of the 2020 Women of Distinction Awards presented by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Southern Nevada.
Since 1998, NAWBO Southern Nevada has hosted the Women of Distinction Awards (WODA) to honor remarkable women who inspire success and have shown great dedication and excellence in their fields. As influential members of their communities, finalists were nominated by their peers and colleagues based on eligibility criteria. The 12 award categories highlight all industries ranging from arts/entertainment/media to education and gaming to professional services. Specialty award categories also include Rising Star, Glass Ceiling, and Entrepreneur of the Year.
The awards will be distributed virtually on October 7, 2020, from 3 to 5 pm during which all finalists will be honored and the twelve (12) recipients of the WODA 2020 Award will be announced.
